East Bay Charter Township is located in the northwest corner of the Lower Peninsula nestled among many inland lakes inside Grand Traverse County. Our township is a mix of rolling farmland, forests and Lake Michigan beach front. East Bay is an exciting and growing community with a unique blend of commercial and residential development.
EAST BAY TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS/GRACE MACDONALD PARK USERS
The East Bay Township Parks and Recreation Board has prepared a draft improvement plan for Grace Macdonald Park located on Arbutus Lake Road. The proposed improvements include new restrooms and a warming hut, updated playground equipment and accessible parking and walking paths. Attached is a copy of the draft concept plan.
In the next few weeks, we plan to apply for financial support for these improvements through the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund, but before that application is finalized, we are interested in more community input on the plan. Because of your interest in this park, we invite you to join the Parks and Recreation Board at 5:30 PM on February 21, 2012 for a discussion on the proposed plan. The meeting will be held in the south meeting room at the
Township Offices at 1965 N. Three Mile Road. It will be an opportunity for you to learn more about the proposed improvements and to provide any input you may have.
If you are not able to attend the meeting, we will also be pleased to review any written comments you would like to offer. Those may be sent to me at the township offices or emailed to lcouturier@eastbaytwp.org.
Thanks for your interest.
