CUPPA JOE ANNOUNCES EAST SIDE GRAND OPENING CELEBRATION WITH NORTE
Cuppa Joe
(Traverse City) - To officially announce the opening of their newest location, Cuppa Joe has
partnered with local cycling non-profit, El Grupo Norte, for a family friendly slow roll on the TART
Trail on April 18. Participants can start at Norte's Wheelhouse, roll to Cuppa Joe Eastside (off of
Four Mile) for coffee, enter into the raffle, and finish at the newly opened Stone Hound Brewery
on Bunker Hill Road in Acme. You can also meet the slow roll at Cuppa Joe for a shorter ride
around 12:30pm.

The event is designed to be walkable, bikeable, and to help reconnect and invigorate eastside
businesses and neighbors after a notably challenging year. “We were dreaming of a chance to show off our new cafe and reconnect with our new neighbors once spring hit. Opening this location right at the onset of the pandemic was tough and unfortunately did not afford us much ability to showcase our presence on the eastside, so this is our way to make a proper introduction, ” said Sandi Daley, Owner of Cuppa Joe. When planning the grand opening, Daley saw an opportunity to go beyond the walls of Cuppa
Joe Eastside, and to include the community in a bigger way. “Norte is such a dynamic presence in our community, and we see this event as a great way to uplift and enhance their work locally. Planning a ride with Norte seemed like a perfect grand opening of the new shop, especially with the TART Trail running right through our backyard,” said Daley.

Cuppa Joe isn’t the only business celebrating new east side digs. Recently launched Stone
Hound Brewing Company has enlisted TC’s newest culinary powerhouse, Rad.ish, who will be
on-site at the brewery to serve their stellar vegan street food. The owners of all three
participating businesses have committed to donating 10% of the entire day's sales to support
Norte. The opening goes from 8am-3pm at Cuppa Joe’s Eastside located at 1990 US-31 N. (on
the corner of 31 and 4 mile). Full event details for the slow ride portion of the event can be found on Norte’s website. Cuppa Joe has been a locally owned, independent business in Traverse city Since 1999. Learn more at www.cuppajoetc.com.
