The East Bay Township Compactor and Recycling Center is located 656 Rasho Rd. They are open Monday, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10am-5pm. If you have any questions about the Compactor/Recycling Station, please call the township office at 231-947-8647 during regular business hours or contact the Compactor/Recycling Center at 231-941-1388 during their business hours.

If you are an East Bay resident, please pick up a compactor station permit. This permit lets the compactor manager know that you are a resident of East Bay and they will charge you accordingly. You can pick up a compactor station permit from the township. Each resident is allowed 2 permits free of charge but if both are lost, an extra permit may be purchased for $5. These permits do not expire and you can pick them up any time during regular business hours.

The compactor station charges $2 for 13 gallon bags and $3 for 30 gallon bags. All bags over 30 gallons will be charged accordingly.

The compactor station does not accept cash, only check or money order. If you want to pay with cash, you can buy punch cards ($12 or $25) at the township office or you can purchase them at the compactor station using check or money order.

Robert Burns-After

Bob Burns has been employed as manager of the Compactor Station since 2003.  His duties include overseeing the operations and maintenance of the Compactor Station, as well as, working in the parks two days a week.

Bob was able to lose a significant amount of weight during the winter months and so we included a picture of him, before and after, so that our East Bay residents would recognize him when they saw him around the township.
